Job Duties:
- You will provide technical assistance to users regarding equipment, software, SIPRNET and NIRPNET workstations, laptops, fax machines, scanners, and other equipment.
- You will install, upgrade and troubleshoot commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) applications, upgrade workstations during the rollout of new technology.
- You will install an internal and external device to include monitors, printers, hard drives, modem, power supplies, and memory.
- You will assist customers with Common Access Card (CAC) pin resets and resolve problems with smartcard and smartcard readers.
- You will operate electronic messaging systems (e.g., Automated Message Handling System (AMHS), Defense Message System (DMS), and Certification Authority Workstation (CAW), monitoring systems use for errors or violations.
Job Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position may require you to work a rotating shift within an extended workday schedule, not typical of normal office hours.
- This position requires that the selectee meet the requirements of the DOD Manual 8570.01. You will be required to obtain and maintain Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certificate within 6 months of employment.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Per E.O. 14043, selectee(s) must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by 11/22/2021 or date of employment (whichever comes later) except in limited circumstances where an exemption is approved due to a disability or sincerely held religious beliefs.

Job Qualification:
- Possess a Master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree.
- Possess 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree.
- Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
