The Careers & Employment Service is seeking two proactive candidates to join our forward-looking, quality accredited service to work as part of an award-winning team providing a wide range of support for students and graduates. The role has specific responsibility for working with students undertaking placement opportunities during their degree course.
The role contributes to a range of innovative additional services within the Careers & Employment Service, to ensure the University of Hertfordshire students and graduates are fully supported with all aspects of the employment-related activity.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- The successful candidates will deal with student, academic and employer enquiries for all aspects of placement activity including risk assessments and associated administration, alongside working proactively to encourage take up of placements through activities such as phoning or emailing. The role also includes supporting students and graduates with the development of CVs, covering letters, general recruitment processes and directing them to further sources of help within the wider team.

Location:
- College Lane Campus, Hatfield, with some remote working as appropriate
Salary:
- UH5 £24,871pa with potential to progress to £27,924 pa, on achieving designated skills and experience
Job Type:
- Full time.
Education:
- You will have A-levels or equivalent level qualification, or higher, or have proven professional work experience.
Skills and experience:
- Candidates must have experience of working in customer facing environments, and dealing with key stake holders. In addition, strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail in administrative and IT tasks, with a good understanding of customer care is also required. The successful candidate will have experience of data analysis and reporting, and the ability to learn new skills. A flexible approach, experience of working in busy environments with conflicting priorities, and with minimum supervision is also needed.
